Abstract

Based on the national organization analysis of WWF Indonesia in 2007, it stated that the total money that was spent for the conservation increased year by year. This indicated the WWF Indonesia is growing. It represents the increasing trust from donors and the increasing demand for more professional managers, more stir. resources, and more strategic human resource management. Lately, human resources have become the most important part of the main competitive advantage. Human resources can be considered as the heart and the soul of the organization, they represent the talent, commitment, company community, and drivers to run the business including the nonprofit organization. They are completely a basic capital to accomplish the organization goals. Having the survey of human resource aspects at WWF Indonesia that needs to be improved, the ton selected option is the recruitment and selection process. Therefore, this Group Field Project concentrates on the study of the recruitment and selection process which also agreed on the Terms of Reference (TOR) upon sponsoring company, WWF Indonesia. To have the complete information for the analysis, the interview sessions with management and selected employees, random picked employees' recruitment and selection approval form, analysis of employment data, internal employee surveys, and public surveys were conducted. Besides that, as WWF Indonesia is the nonprofit organization, the project also includes the values ​​of idealism, passion, and social activity into the assessment which might not be founded or needed at the profit organization. At the analysis part, there were four kind of analysis which is used. They are environmental analysis, resource analysis, recruitment analysis, and the selection analysis. Each of the analyzes is linked to each other and together with the limitations, characteristics, procedures, and policies, it is used as the baseline for making the conclusions on the following chapter. At the final report, there are recommendations for improvement of the recruitment and selection at the WWF Indonesia. the last but not the least, we thank all those who helped us in the process of completing these projects, certain individuals and institutions who have made major contributions, especially to the Indonesian Institute for Management Development (IPMI), WWF Indonesia, Mr. Mubariq Ahmand as the CEO of WWF Indonesia, Achmad Setiadi as Operation Director of WWF Indonesia, and Mr. Krishnan Rajendran, MBA as our supervisor.
