Abstract

The asian century has begun, the world's largest regional economy, asia is set to continue to grow in scale and a central transformation scheme of globalization. facing the reality of competition/globalization of economic activity and also become the opportunity both of domestic and global, company must continues to be motivated in product innovations and improve their operational efficiency by lowering manufacturing and service cost, and the key is the performance of its employees as people may be the only remaining source of competitive advantage that help company to remain competitive and sustainable growth. This study aims to measure the influence of transformational leadership to employee engagement and to investigate the mediating role of feedback and recognition to the relationship between transformatinal leadership and employee engagement. The data was collected through online questionnaires with non probability and purposive sample to 100 respondents in PT XYZ during June-July 2021. The data was processed using SPSS and PLS-SEM. The result indicated that employee engagement in PT XYZ is good and transformational leadership has positive effect to employe engagement. There is positive mediating role of feedback and recognition which is partially mediating the relationship between transformational leadership and employee engagement. This mediating role has never been studied and is novelty to the research world. This study could be used by manufacturing companies to better understand the employee engagement and some key contributors to increase employee engagement in order to have better strategy to improve company's performance and sustainable growth.
