Abstract

The decline of the banking industry is a global issue in 2020 and also in progress in Korea. Between 2020 and 2021, many banks went bankrupt due to the rapid change in the digital age. In the case of Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), Net Interest Margin and profitability is getting worse. This phenomenon makes it difficult for banks to attract outstanding talent. Even bankers who are already affiliated with the bank are dissatisfied with the job. In 2021, The size of the recruitment of IBK decreased by 46% compared to 2019, but fin-tech companies increased by 100% compared to 2019. This result has a deep relationship with job satisfaction and loyalty of IBK bankers. Moreover, training and development results in a decrease in worker turnover and brings about minimal supervision. The previous researchers found that the relationship between job rotation and job satisfaction or relationship between training & development and job satisfaction.The study is aiming on conducting research to understand the effects that job rotation and training & development have on employee satisfaction and loyalty in the banking industry and also the mediating role of job satisfaction. In particular, evidence will be based on bankers from the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK).Under quantitative method, The Author used survey data and distributed the questionnaire through Google Forms from 5th to 12th of August 2021 and collected 100 data from respondents in Korea using stratified random sampling based. The analysis is conducted by SPSS v.26 and Smart PLS v.3.3. The result from this research found there was a significant effect of job rotation to job satisfaction, training and development to job satisfaction, job satisfaction to employees loyalty, and also a mediating effect of job satisfaction between job rotation, training development, and employees loyalty. With limitation to 100 sampling data of Banking workers and conducted over a few months, The Authors recommend a larger sample for the better quality of research.
