About Us

Ipmi Repository is an online archive service which is managed by IPMI Library - Learning Resource Center. Established for collecting, managing, saving, preserving and disseminating digital copies of intellectual output of IPMI International Business School such as academic journal, books, theses, Group Field Project, Community Involvement Project, Case Study, conference paper, and other types of research publication. The main objective of this repository is to provide long-term, public, open access and easily retrieve to the digital collection to support teaching-learning process.

Abstract

As a state owned company, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk., The nation's largest company in Indonesia, delivers its services through pipeline transmission and distribution. PGN has been transformed into a company dedicated to "supplying the expertise in infrastructure and infrastructure needed to support Indonesia's long-range growth". However, the transformation is meaningless without tangible results. PGN has grown by enhancing its technical and commercial skills. To provide those results, PGN's teams have strengthened and empowered the structure of the Business Unit also has focused on performance as well. Spurring the economic growth in a changing economy is a challenging work. Yet we need it to build a better future for Indonesia. In Early 2016, PGN has more than 110,000 customers and continues to grow till now. PGN has the target to increase the household customer by the program called "PGN Dear Mother" which will potentially add one million household customers until 2020. Beside the households' customers, PGN also has commercial segments and industries segment as its customers. In PGN business process, the numbers of customers and the amount of gas sales have an inverse relationship. The number of households' customers are high but the gas sales volume is low, on the contrary the amount of industrial customers is slight but high in gas sales volume. Sales volume is strongly influenced by the needs and types of gas equipment used by customers. In order to be sustained in business and to handle the big amount of customers, especially related to the revenue stream process, PGN needs to shift their work processes from manual to automatic process. PGN needs to redesign and to improve its business process, since in current conditions PGN's business process heavily relies on the manual method. Many opportunity incomes become delayed because of manual process.
