Abstract

A recommended marketing plan will be formulated to support findings and analysis if the project is proven to be feasible. Because the project used an action research framework for its product development process, this thesis project uses the same perspective to assess the project for lessons learned. PT Intraco Penta Tbk spans several industries, including construction equipment distribution, financing services, mining services, engineering and infrastructure, and most recently, power generation. In line with the Company's stated vision to be a socially responsible local economy enterprise development, the aim of the project was to produce a commercially viable renewable energy source that would elevate its corporate image while benefitting the community in the process. The particular focus was to assist the Indonesian Bright Program, an initiative launched in 2016 by the government with an initial target to bring electricity to 12,659 remote and accessible villages where PLN (the state electricity company) services do not exist. The group field project members identified limitations in the existing stand-alone electricity generating sources provided, and to address the unmet needs in these remote areas The group used an action research framework to, D Go through 2 cycles of prototype development for the pedal powered electricity generating source, 2) Carry out a feasibility study (including two field trips to remote villages). 3) Produce a marketing plan.
