Abstract

In 2015, the global economy slowdown in Indonesia impacted the sales growth of PT. Penta Chemicals Indonesia. The reason PT. Penta Chemicals Indonesia wants to develop business to Malaysia is to anticipate Indonesia's economic slowdown coupled with the limitations of the existing market in Indonesia and also the sales in Malaysia that not achieved the target that previously sets by the company. This research purpose is to provide strategic formulation proposal to increase opportunity sales in Malaysia for the next 5 years. This research uses competitive advantage, company value, and market expansion as variables. PEST, Porter’s Five Forces, SWOT, and Projected Financial Statement are the analysis tools that reserchers used in this GFP. From using those analyses, researchers found that PT. Penta Chemicals Indonesia has competitive advantage against other companies in similar industry in Indonesia. So thats why PT. Penta Chemicals Indonesia confident to expand their business to Malaysia. From PEST, Porters’s Five Forces, SWOT we found that it is very feasible for company to enter the market. Moreover, projected financial statement shows positive outcome. Thus, researchers recommend company to expand to Malaysia to gain bigger market and sustain the business and we are also recommending for next group field project to conduect the feasibility study to build company own factory and also build Research and Development Center.
