Abstract

The topic of the Group Field Project (GFP) is Strategy of PT. GMF AeroAsia for Achieving One Billion USD Company in 2018. PT. GMF AeroAsia is aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider who owned by PT. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk. PT. GMF AeroAsia is the biggest aircraft MRO in Indonesia, offered integrated aircraft maintenance solution. The aim of this study is to analyze aircraft MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) industry by applying strategic management tools, for understanding current and trend of external factors to get viable opportunities to growth and understand internal capabilities, strengthen it to be competitive advantage and key success factor for achieving vision as Top Ten MRO in the World. In addition, this study also gives the best fit strategy to achieve one billion revenue USD company in 2018. Strategy resulted in this study is growth strategy from core business, adjacency, and beyond the core business. The authors find that core business product of PT. GMF AeroAsia is Line, Base, Component and Engine Business Line. The author also propose how three growth strategy give revenue growth to GMF by implementing Balance Score Card. The author’s framework started by analyzing assessment of external and internal factor in aviation industry, formulate growth strategy and implementation strategy and its key success factor.
