Abstract
Adhi Karya - EPC Division (from this point to forward would be referred to as ADHI-EPC) is a member of PT Adhi Karya Tbk (from this point to forward would be referred to as ADHI), a leading construction company in Indonesia. Since its establishment, as it was a spin off from PT Adhi Karya Mechanical and Electrical Division in 1999, ADHI-EPC has been working in many EPC projects in Indonesia, i.e. at Water Treatment Plant Project - Palembang. Steam Power Plant Project - Kalimantan in 2000, Amonia Area Kujang 1B Project at Karawang in August 2003, Aromatic Project, at Tuban 2004-2005. To achieve PT Adhi Karya Tbk's goal to have a highly profitable EPC division, ADHI-EPC needs a feasibility study to form its Business Strategy to have a better understanding of the competition in Indonesian EPC industry and to perform its business in Indonesia. In order to do so ADHI-EPC needs an industrial attractiveness analysis and Corporate Business Strategy formulation, which includes the research on Industry attractiveness Analysis, as well as internal analysis (SWOT) and Competitor Analysis. Those data combined with ADHI-EPC distinctive capabilities assessment are used to formulate a strategy for the ADHI-EPC division in EPC business in Indonesia.
