Abstract

In the banking industry, it is essential to evaluate the operation efficiency of its branches. In this Group Field Project, specific recommendations concerning operating efficiency will be presented to the management of the sponsoring company that is Bank Bukopin. Bank Bukopin has been operating in an increasingly competitive environment. However, to survive in this environment, all banks are dependent, in part, on how efficiently they combine and use different factors (input and output) to keep and improve competitiveness. The object of this project is to identify the production efficiency of all Bukopin branches. 1. Reviewing Bukopin branch performance 2. Evaluating branch performance using DEA 3. To rank Bukopin branches based on operation efficiency. 4. To give recommendations for improving branch performance. The project will cover the analysis of the current Bank Bukopin branches by using Data Envelopment Analysis. Subsequently, the project will also cover the analysis on causal problems, and come up with recommended strategies.
