Abstract
PT. XL Axiata Tbk, provides cellular telecommunications services for retail and corporate customers in Indonesia. It provides voice and non-voice, wireless broadband data, and other value-added services. The company also offers Internet services provider, closed fixed network services, Voice over Intermet Protocol, and Internet interconnection services. In addition, it leases towers. With the significant growth trend of Data Service and transformation jourmery to the next level, XL Axiata focus on delivering data service as current and moving forwad business. Machine to Machine is a growing opportunity for connectivity. But a large part of the value is captured by ocher players (system integrators and hardware vendors). XL entercd M2M market on 2010 in corporate segment. Since ecosystem in Indonesia has not yet established thus XL only act as dump pipe and capturing limited growth. XL pursuing opportunties by cosidering to become full service provider for M2M by entering mass scale opportunities.
