Abstract

This thesis explores the impact of digital marketing strategies on the promotion of mediation certification programs at the Indonesian Institute for Conflict Transformation (IICT). As digital marketing becomes increasingly vital for non-profit organizations, this study examines the effectiveness of IICT’s social media, SEO,content marketing, and email campaigns in increasing visibility, engagement, and participant enrolment. Through qualitative research, including semi-structured interviews with IICT’s marketing team and digital consultants, the study identifies key successes and challenges in the implementation of these strategies. The findings reveal that while digital marketing has significantly improved IICT’s outreach, the organization faces challenges such as limited resources, inconsistent social media presence, and a lack of in-house expertise. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated IICT’s shift to online training and digital promotion, highlighting opportunities for expanding its online offerings and strengthening partnerships. Based on the insights gathered, the study provides actionable recommendations for IICT to enhance its digital marketing efforts, such as adopting a more structured content strategy, optimizing SEO practices, and building internal digital marketing capacity. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on digital marketing in the non-profit sector, offering practical guidance for organizations seeking to improve their online presence
