Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyse the effect between Extrinsic Rewards, Intrinsic Rewards, Motivation and Job Performance. Current research in Indonesia shows many of the authors only study about the effect of rewards towards job satisfaction and job performance. While on this research, the author tends to seek on the effect of between rewards, employee motivation and job performance with its focus in DKI Jakarta area. Thus, it adds value to the knowledge in the effect between Intrinsic Rewards, Extrinsic Rewards, Motivation and Job Performance in the context of DKI Jakarta. This quantitative research analyses the causal effect between the variables mentioned by surveying using online survey called google form. The respondents are from 100 employees who live and work in DKI Jakarta, with the minimum age of 21 years old and at least having work for the firm for 1 year as a respondent. The findings of this study are Intrinsic Rewards have a positive effect and significant towards motivation & Job Performance, in motivation has a positive effect and significant towards Job Performance. However, this study finds that extrinsic rewards only have a positive and significant effect towards Motivation but not towards Job Performance. This research contributes to management practices where management can decide on how to use an applicable reward to motivate the employees and also to enhance their job performance.
