Abstract
This thesis investigates the optimization of ship-to-ship (STS) operations within the amanah group Indonesia to enhance operational efficiency and environmental sustainability in the maritime industry. The research emphasizes the importance of integrating sustainable practices within STS operations, particularly through the use of dashboard monitoring systems like OCTA. This system enables real-time monitoring of fuel consumption, weather conditions, and operational efficiency. By optimizing the coordination between mother vessels and shuttle operations, the study demonstrates how STS processes can be both environmentally responsible and economically beneficial. Through a mixed-methods approach, including qualitative interviews and quantitative data analysis, the research provides practical insights and recommendations for industry stakeholders to achieve sustainable growth. The thesis is structured into six chapters, covering the introduction, literature review, methodology, data analysis, conclusions, and recommendations, with a focus on the Aceh region as a strategic case study. The findings contribute to the understanding of how to balance economic objectives with environmental considerations in maritime operations, ultimately aiming to foster economic growth and ecological responsibility. This thesis provides actionable insights for enhancing maritime operational efficiency while promoting environmental sustainability, offering practical guidance for industry stakeholders.
