Abstract

This project focuses on the study and analysis of Human Resources Development from the Training & Development perspective. We believe human resources is the quintessence of a service oriented company such as Aacol, especially Dunia Fantasi. Furthermore, we believe training & development is the appropriate methodology to be used in improving human resource productivity. This project was based on the competency model to analyze Fantasy World's employees' capabilities. Our rescarch analyzed supervisory level, since this specialized level functions as the direct point of contact for customers. We believe there is a positive correlation betwcen customer's experiences with employces capubilities. Custoers are mure coneeneu with the value of experience they get when they come to Fantasy Duia. Undoubtedly, the value visitors experience when they come to Dunia Fantasi is lunemost deterninl by the quality of customer service providcd by Dunia Fantai's employees. We used I lay-McDer theory as the foundation to detern the employees' capabilities. The competency structure model from Hay-Macber was used to see the gap between the competencies that the company must have with the competencies that the employee's have. The company's competency matrix that we built was based on the vision and mission of Ancol and Fantasy World. And then, we used the Behavioral Event Interview as our tool to build employers' competency matrix. And finally, we build our training and development recommendations based on what the Fantasy World needs as a result of the gap that we have found out.
