Abstract

Back then, most developing countries including Indonesia tended to focus more on both infectious and non-infectious issues or commonly related physical issues. Amid COVID-19 pandemic, mental issues have become a spotlight especially when people's mobility were hindered due to large scale social restrictions (PSBB) applied by Indonesia's government. The greatest mental health issues were experienced by health workers due to over workload while receiving insufficient rest and attention, risk of infection and others. Through this community involvement projct (CIP), we intend to recover youth's mental health which is also aligned with sustainable development goals number 3 leading to a healthy life and embracing well-being. To support our goal, we've conducted two educational webinars which was conducted in November 2021 in collaboration with payung jiwa, a psycho educational platform who also promotes mental health issues, and aims to raise awareness among Indonesian people about the improtance of mental health. In this event, we invited the Co-Founder of payung jiwa as guest speaker to share mental-health related topics and successfully connected with more than 250 participants, ranging from 18-24 years old who came from diverse regions in Indonesia. There was a high enthusiasm from participants as we also played fun games and door prize giveaways for chosen participants during the session. Moreover, our event also helped to leverage payung jiwa's branding and its willingness to raise mental issues to the public. Several participants also expected upcoming similar events as they really enjoyed the session. This program eventually took 2 months until it was successfully implemented.
