Abstract
For the past five years, the financial performance of food and beverage industry listed companies in indonesia has shown growth. The industry growth was better than the gross domestic product (GDP) within the same timeline. At the same time, the growth trend was also shown in IDX composite index, from below 5.000 in 2015 to above 6.300 in 2019. However, covid-19 pandemic in early 2020 has disrupted the indonesian economy growth and caused a decline in various business's performance, including the food and beverage industry. although the food and beverage had been enjoying a sustain and stable year on year growth over the past five years, it has not immune to downturn. this study aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic to the food and beverage public listed company's financial performance and the weekly stock return of those companies on the Indonesia stock exchange. the study selected six companies from the food and beverage industry and analyzed the financial data before the pandemic (three quarters in 2009) and after the pandemic (three quarters 2020).
