Abstract

The goal of this thesis is to investigate how to optimize the asset management system in PT. Cemindo Gemilang. Improving effectiveness and efficiency of asset management system will reduce the company cost structure and allow for efficient and effective asset management system. The asset management system, in the current existing approach tends to be manual and too general. The accesibility of the data in the process takes a long time, the synchronization of data among department is not too clear, flexibility to change the input data is low, and the limited database or system does not support the asset management system effectively. General Affair has the responsibility to find a better solution to manage the asset in the company. As a newcomer in the cement industry, there is a big opportunity to make use of the latest software and hardware technology to support the asset management system, and it will allow an efficient and effective way to start the company.
