Abstract
Jordan was establish 1837 in Norway and first entered the Indonesian toothbrush market in 1990. After several years of operation, it was able to hold quite strong market share but made a decision to leave the country in 1997 due to political upheavel and uncertainly in Indonesian economic outlook. It made a comeback in the Indonesian toothbrush market in 2000 and broke a three year vacuum selling period for the Jordan brand. It decided to r-enter the Indonesian market after the country successfully undergone political reform by establishing a new government under a new president, Mr. Abdurrahman Wahid. However, the absence cost Jordan its market share to Oral-B and Pepsodent brands. Since then, its attempts to regain the market share proved to have minimal success.
