Abstract

Education is a process of gaining new knowledge to be better in certain aspect. Researchers believe that education may benefits economics toward the community which we can imply that education has economic benefits toward economic growth in a certain population. In term of “education of entrepreneurship”, it teaches about how to organize, monitor, control and manage a business or enterprise. Rumah Belajar Kita or RBK, is an educational community based non-profit organization which operates in educating less fortunate children and teenagers within the 12 years schooling age about creativity and life skills for at least once in a week basis. The purpose of this community Involvement Project is to engage in developing an entrepreneurial mindset and skill of teenagers through business model canvas. The objective of this project is to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and skill of teenagers through business model canvas. The program is divided into (1) Interactive lecturing presentation and group discussion; (2) Guest-lecture by startup owner; (3) Real business practice experience. By the end of the project, the students can understand that entrepreneurship is important because it can change how they think and how they live whilst they are still young. All of the students show that they understand the concept of entrepreneurship as in fact, the student shows improvement regarding entrepreneurship when we give pre and post-test during lecture session. The Community Involvement Project ended successfully as the workshop and lecture session gain positive feedbacks both from the students and RBK Facilitators. In the future project, we hopefully not only lecture and workshop about entrepreneurship, but also implementing practical of entrepreneurship such as creating a market or bazaar where the student sell their own created product or used product to other so the student can fully understand how entrepreneurship work in the real situation.
