Abstract
PT. Rindra Bara Utama is a newly established coal mine company, a member of the Indo Mines group of Australian companies. Begin its operations in mid-April 2010 with a stornt term goal "targeting its production to 20,000 metric tons per month", in a long term its target is "to be the big player at the coal industry". To achieve these targets they need to have a group of capable people to run the company. People are likely as lifeblood in organizations. The organization needs the qualified people in order to operate efficiently to get success. To have qualified people the company needs a proper human resource system and procedures including recruitment, induction and training system. In the survey we found PT Rindra does not have a proper recruitment, selection and induction system in place, they need to create a new system in regards to having great and qualified people in the organization. In our study we leam about organization vision, mission, challenges in recruiting pcople especially the characteristics of the company which operations are held at the site area, Binuang, South Kalimantan. Not many workers interested in working in this kind of area because the location is far from the town. The interview session was held with the management of PT. Rindra to collect the information. needed. Some study methods were examined to form a proper recruitment system. The analysis of making the conclusions and recommendations to this company is based on the information gathering from the interview session and some other data collected Our recommendations provide the company an option of recruitment system, orientation system and induction system. At last the best recruitment system to adopt is dependent on the company noeds and conditions.
