Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
The course is an introduction to macroeconomic theory, which is largely policy-oriented. The material includes the study of the determinant of aggregate economic activity, the effects of monetary and fiscal policy upon national income, and economic policy toward unemployment and inflation, and an introduction to international macroeconomics. It is designed to give you an idea about various subjects in the broad spectrum of macroeconomics. The primary objective, however, is to provide the tools (terminology, methodology and problem-solving skills) necessary to think like an economist and to better understand the world economy. Accordingly, we will discuss current economic events along with the regular class lecture. You will be encouraged to follow the latest developments in macroeconomics as they appear in the news.
