Abstract
This study aims to analyze and measure the financial health conditions of Garuda Indonesia Airline (GIA) as a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) for the period 2011-2017. The descriptive financial analysis was used to describe, measure, and evaluate the financial health condition of GIA. In addition, the Decree No.KEP-100/MBU/2002 issued by the Indonesia Ministry of SOE in June 2002 was used to validate the results of eight financial ratios investigating i.e., return on equity, return on investment, cash ratio, current ratio, collection period, inventory turnover, total asset turnover, total equity to total asset. The result shows that from 2011 - 2017, GIA has achieved financial healthy condition levels. However, based on Industry Benchmark WACC validation, GIA performances in the past five years could not exceed the industry benchmark. Furthermore, this study has added the knowledge in the financial literature. It also gives a strong insight for managers in the airline industry. Keywords: financial performance, financial ratios, state-owned enterprise, airline
