Abstract
Human resources is one of the basic lifeline in every firm. No companies, in any shape or form, may run without human resources, from the lowly small companies to the big mega companies. Even if 100% of the work is done through computer, the person doing the setting is still a human. Even if the employee is only the owner himself, that owner is the human resources in that firm. With the advent of the technology and the globalization, human resources is also becoming more problematic, as issues concerning human resources in the global trade is mostly coupled up with Asian cheap labor and their treatment, or how American and European lose their job, because it’s outsourced to the Asia huge labor market. Like other resources, human resources is limited. Though the number of the people in work age is expanding, due to outburst of world’s population growth, the number of people, in the general public, who have enough skill and ability to be the part of the workforce is limited. Moreover, some firms have needs more a specific skill, which makes the human resources pool smaller. That’s why human resources, though there are a lot of humans, are limited. Moreover, with the collapse of the Euro Economic Zone, which started by the likes of Greek and Spain, which brings a lot of economic crises and its subsequent effect, the unemployment, brings also to the question that human resources is a type of resources that must be managed well. In many companies, human resource department, or human resources division, plays the critical role as the business partner. Human resources as the business partner play the critical role to support the needs of the companies. The human resources department, in every firm, need to manage the critical resource of the company, the human resources. The human resources is responsible for bringing in new resources in a timely manner when needed, and must also assess these resources constantly, on regular basis, on their subsequent contribution to the whole firm. KPSG was established in 1990 as the first and leading outsourcing provider in Indonesia, started its business in the area of Human Resource Services, manual Payroll Process Services and traditional Contact Center Services. KPSG is the biggest outsourcing company in Indonesia with 7000 employees spreading in all over the city in Indonesia with the variety clients, like 60% from banks (60% from banks all over Indonesia are their client), and others from life insurance and telecomunication. KPSG is the trustworthy outsourcing because that company always recruiting employee everyday. Eversince Titan Group's full acquisition in 2002, KPSG started its transition from a traditional outsourcing provider to a Business Management Services provider by initiating several service improvements. One of the most significant is the launching of KPSG Inhoused Contact Center System ApplicationOnTrace® which resulted in the success penetration of KPSG Contact Center Services. Currently KPSG has around 2.000 contact center workstation and around 7.000 managed employees, serving many high-profile-clients in Banking and Insurance industry. KPSG expanded its Payroll Process Services by initiating strategic alliance with the biggest worldwide Payroll Services company - ADP Streamline. And now, KPSG has been successfully serving around 100 clients for around 15.000 payslips and statutory records on monthly basis. As KPSG commitment to provide service quality and accessibility to its clients, KPSG expanded its national base to 9 branches in Tangerang, Medan, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Samarinda and Makassar. These expansions are also very supportive in accommodating client’s expansion growth.
