Abstract
Since it first successfully tested in 1973, the concept of competency has widely used and has been acknowledged as a powerful tools to increase the capabilities of an effective and efficient organization Competency of each jobs of every employee should be tightly linked with Vision, Mission and Value as well as with the business strategy of the organization. The flow of the job competencies go up to organizational capabilities, business strategy and end up with the company vision, mission and value could be implemented in every industry. PT Sari Wangi AEA is one of the growing company in tea industry. should be supplemented with employee who has competences as required in order to compete in the business dynamics The first assessment in order to supply with the competence employee is Competency profiling The competency profiling it self will be mapped and supported by competency mapping prior to provide gap analysis and recommendation. The assessment of competency profiling held at PT. Sari Wangi AEA consists of 10 managerial positions which reporting to the Board of Director, based on the organization structure. The tools we used in assessment centre was 360 degree of appraisal. The appraisers were consist of 5 people from PT. Sari Wangi AEA it self. The 360 degree was chosen because it easy to set up, circulate and tabulate, and it can be ạutomated readily with still considering the validity requirement of the assessment.
