Abstract

The global business environment is changing faster. With this circumstance, it can be concluded if the organizations or companies want to survive, they need to be adapted with the change in the global business environment. One of the greatest challenges’ companies face today is how to manage the job performance of the organization. The company needs employees who can finish the job because employee performance is crucial to the overall success of the company. Human resources (HR) is the department within a business that is responsible for all things worker related. In this study, the author would like to find the relationship between human resource activity in training and development, employee motivation and employee performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of training and development and employee motivation towards employee performance on working students in the Jakarta area. This quantitative research analyzes the causal relationship between the variables mentioned by surveying 100 working students in Jakarta are as respondents. The methodology of this study using the descriptive analysis and the purposive sampling to determine the respondents. The findings of this research indicate training and development, and employee motivation has a significant impact towards employee performance on working students in the Jakarta area. This study is expected to contribute to future studies as well as to the benefit of the human resource department in the company located specifically in the Jakarta area, in the advancement and development of human resources practices to maintaining productivity in the company.
