Abstract

The ASTRA Stock Investment Simulation Competition (ASTRA LSIS 2024) aimed to address the critical gap in financial literacy and investment awareness among Indonesian high school students. Hence, recognizing the absence of investment education in standard curriculums, this initiative introduced an engaging competition to equip high school students with foundational financial knowledge and practical exposure to stock market dynamics. Through partnerships with schools, sponsors, and financial institutions, ASTRA LSIS 2024 engaged students in interactive learning modules, investment simulations, and mentorship programs. These activities fostered critical thinking, decision-making, and analytical skills among participants. Major findings indicated measurable improvements in financial literacy, with post event assessments demonstrating increased confidence and understanding of stock investment concepts. As a result, by promoting early financial education and inspiring long-term investment interest, ASTRA LSIS 2024 contributed to strengthening Indonesia’s base of domestic investors, aligning with the broader goal of economic resilience. This initiative highlights the effectiveness of simulation-based competitions in cultivating a financially literate youth demographic.
