Abstract
Investment decision is vital when wanting to achieve financial success, be it an individual, business, organization or even government entities. This study aimed to look into the effects of income perception on investment, impulsive spending and sustainability awareness into the investment decisions of the Youth in Jakarta. The narrative is driven by the Golden age of Indonesia in the year 2045, and the necessity of preparing the future generation to be able to perform in a competitive economy. This study looked into the collective effects of impulsive spending, sustainability awareness and income perception on investment decisions. The review of multiple factors is an effective way to properly gauge and understand the influence behind individuals' reasoning for investment decisions. The results and findings of this research provides insights in regards to investment decisions. This study used structural equation modeling (SEM) and partial least squares (PLS) to break down the complex relationship between impulsive spending, sustainability awareness, and source of income to investment decisions. Lastly, the insights that show the effects towards investment decisions can then be used to foster and innovate the youth of Indonesia, for the betterment of this nation's future.
