Abstract

Cibodas village is a tourism village located in the Lembang sub-district, West Bandung Regency, West Java province, Indonesia. This village has promising natural and cultural potential for tourism development. Apart from that, tourism villages also often become centers for environmental and cultural preservation, by prioritizing sustainability principles in every aspect of activities. This research aims to develop a theoretical model by analyzing community involvement (CI), perceived benefit (PB), and community capacity building (CCB), with moderator of crisis readiness (CR) in the relationship between support for tourism development (STD) and sustainability achievement (SA) in Cibodas tourism village. This is a quantitative research using structural equation modeling (SEM) with the PLS approach. In this research, the data collection will use a questionnaire, distributed to respondents via an offline form so that it is efficient within a reasonable period. Factors that influence local community support for sustainable tourism development have been extensively studied by tourism scholars. However, little has been known about the use of moderating variables of crisis readiness in the relationship between support for tourism development and sustainability achievement. The research results show that CI has a significant effect on PB, CCB has a significant effect on CI and STD, also STD and CR has a significant effect on SA. However, CI and PB has not a significant effect on STD, also moderating effect i also has not a significant effect on SA.
