Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the world of education, especially in the learning process carried out by lecturers. The learning process carried out by the lecturer changes, where learning is usually carried out directly into learning in the network, (Nahdi & Jatisunda, 2020; Pusparini et al, 2022). Online learning can be understood as formal education organized by campuses where the students and their instructors are in different or separate locations, thus requiring an interactive telecommunication system as a connecting medium and various required resources. However, online learning is felt to be less effective for lecturers, especially for elementary campus-age children, because lecturers feel that they are not optimal in providing learning material. In addition , students also feel bored participating in online learning, because there are more assignments than delivering material every day. This condition makes students bored and lazy in doing assignments, so that it has an impact on late submission of assignments. Saturation is a certain time span that is used for learning but does not get results. Students who experience learning burnout feel as is there is no progress in the knowledge and skills gained from learning which generally does not last forever but within a certain time span, such as one week. The feeling of boredom felt by students is certainly a problem that can result in learning objectives not being achieved. The boredom of learning is also experienced by some students in online classes. Based on the results of observations on campus and the MBKM participants, it was found that many students felt bored and bored with online learning during the pandemic. In online classes, online learning is carried out using the Whatsapp group. The Whatsapp application is a cross-platform messaging application that allows users to exchange messages without charge because this application uses an internet data package using an internet connection. Students are given assignments or material by the lecturer through the class whatsapp group. It is known that many students are late in submitting assignments according to schedule, even if there are those who collect them, it is done by their own parents. In addition, students are also less interested in reading subject matter without lecturer guidance, lack of interaction with friends makes students not interested in participating in learning.
