Abstract

Salemba Publisher is a leading publisher of Business and Management text book in Indonesia, who is currently facing challenges on how to expand the business in the near future by maintaining its profitability. For that reason, the Salemba Publisher needs to understand what the potential area is for expansion is and how it will impact their existing strategy. This study provides Salemba Publishers with analysis and recommendations of strategies on portfolio management and expansion in the publishing industry that can compliment current business models of Salemba Publishers. The study focuses on the segments of the text book for higher education and the popular business and management book.
