Abstract

This study is made to complete the MM program at IPMI. The study is conducted at PT nalco perkasa in Pulp and paper division to answer the future challenge of human resources toward the year 2003. Three customer feedback surveys in two consecutive years and post exit interviews were conducted as the data base for interpretation and recommendation to enhance current human resources strategy and practice. Human resources practice in Nalco has been running well and suitable with the current business environment, however, considering the changes in the future there are some improvement needed to consider at PT Nalco perkasa. In anticipating the potential problems in the future the following human resources strategy were taken a look for improvement : recruitment process, employee development strategy and retention strategy.
