Abstract
The business environment changes particularly in a rapidly moving and competitive global business. Therefore, the business players have to adapt to those changes. These circumstances force PT. Multi Bintang Indonesia to reorganize its company in order to achieve future organizational excellence and competitive advantage. The MT program in PT MBI is a continuous development program intended to provide a pool of talented candidates who have commitment to the organization to fulfill future key management position in PT. Multi Bintang Indonesia. A primary way to gain competitive advantage is to manage the people/ its employees effectively, where people are treated as an asset yet retained and developed within the company. For that reason, PT. Multi Bintang Indonesia establishes a management trainee (MT) program in order to anticipate and address those future organizational changes, however, its current infrastructure has not supported successful implementation of this program. Based on GFP team study, it is found that the MT program is well perceived and committed by all staffs, managers and management of PT MBI. By conducting library research, bench-marking and information gathering from other sources, we come up with MT program guidline designed for PT MBI. This guideline will provide a standardized communication tool for consistent of implementation of the MT program.
