Abstract
The objective of the group field project (GFP) is to assess business opportunities in the new millennium, mainly focusing on financial services industry such as multi finance, banking, and other financial services. The conduct the study, our group utilize several methodologies in order to achieve our objective of the GFP. The methods are as follows : macroeconomic analysis, industry analysis, SWOT analysis, Business Scenario. Our group began the methods with the macroeconomic analysis to see relevant macroeconomic parameters can significantly impact the financial services industry during the crisis. We then, conducted projection of macroeconomic parameters using central bank projection to see the situation of financial services post crisis. We will use this projection for our industry analysis as well as for the business scenario analysis. In this model our group have made a thorough industry analysis on all products of multi finance, banking, and other financial services. The products are leasing, factoring, consumer financing and credit card. Other financial services products are life insurance and mortgage. Our group used SWOT analysis to support the industry analysis. We made a comparison by having advantage and disadvantage analysis of multi finance and banking industry. This last module contained the summary of the first three modules. However, this business scenario module is only intended to attract and trigger GE's management business sense from our group academic industry analysis effort. The module gave our final recommendation that is worth to consider by GE capital. Our group saw a significant step must be taken by GE, which is to go on-line in order to maintain customers in the long run.
