Abstract
This project is a community involvement project (CIP), which is one of the graduating requirements for the program of bachelor of business administration in IPMI Business School. Kampus Diakonia Modern (KDM) foundation was hold as valuable client and place for project execution in which project executor come as a volunteer. The values being offered was a class of effective communication within the duration of eight weeks, as project executor is equipped with experiences regarding that topic. To the project executor's surprise, KDM also proactively described several needs they would like to facilitate to the children which might be accommodated through effective communication materials proposed by project executor. These insights from KDM helped the project executor to modify some of the materials to better fit the children's needs. The project was being executed in a form of in-class activities, the data are mainly primary and were obtained from observation and discussion, with several notes taking to record any progress identified or feedback to be given directly. Several findings are identified during the project. As it turned out, the children of KDM as (participants in the project) have quite high self-worth and aspirations, which the project executor believes was the result of the tremendous care and support that KDM caretakers gave to the children. However, the participants were indeed in the need of guidance to transfer their self-worth (internal) to appear as self-confidence (external). Hence, the project execution was focused in accommodating the participants to maintain and strengthen their self-worth with effectivecommunication skills, which later on can be utilized by the participants for tackling competitions outside KDM. All the findings are supported by literatures used in this report
