Abstract

PT Manulife aset manajemen Indonesia (MAMI), one of the Indonesia's leading asset management, which has 51 millennial's from total of 99 employees as end of December 2020, is expected to be dominated by millennial employees in the coming future. MAMI, as a service company, must understand how to engage and retain its best talents. Biannually MAMI conduct employee engagement survey to assess the level of overall employee engagement. As the number of millennial employees grows, the distinct characteristics of millennial employees must be recognized in order for any corporate rules and objectives to be successful. Nonetheless, it was discovered that there is little research on the factors that influence employee engagement and turnover intention among millennial employees in the Indonesian financial industry as well as in MAMI, prompting the conduct of this study. Using the quantitative method with PLS-SEM and a survey, the author gathered 46 samples from a population of 51 MAMI millennial employees from September to October 2021. It was discovered that career opportunities and development programs had a positive impact on employee engagement. Career opportunities and employee engagement have also been shown to have a negative impact on millennial employees turnover intention at MAMI. As a result, MAMI should be able to utilize this study as a basis to establish the appropriate strategy for boosting millennial employee engagement and decreasing turnover intention.
