Through several examples of cases in the business world, facts are found related to the conditions of business competition in the digital world, the change in the industry from pipeline-based to platform-based, new strategic rules in the platform business, and challenges of the business world competing on the platform. Unfortunately this study has limitations on how little literature has been studied, and the assumption that only technology can directly influence changes in business forms. This study enhances our understanding of the critical role of digital technology and platform ecosystems in transforming our collective economic future, from product-based to network/ecosystem-based.
