Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of INFIEN Energy’s business plan and strategic positioning within Indonesia’s rapidly evolving renewable energy market. The nation is currently experiencing a significant push toward a sustainable energy future, driven by heightened environmental awareness, governmental policies, and decreasing costs of solar technology. This thesis examines how INFIEN Energy, as a key player, can effectively navigate this dynamic landscape and contribute to the national transition. The research utilizes a range of strategic management frameworks, including PESTLE Analysis, SWOT Analysis, VRIO Analysis, and the Business Model Canvas, to assess the company’s internal capabilities and the external environment. The study addresses five central questions related to Infien Energy’s approach to regulatory navigation, grid integration, innovative financing models, public awareness initiatives, and workforce development. The findings reveal that INFIEN Energy’s integrated Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and manufacturing model is its core strength, allowing it to provide comprehensive, "one-stop" solutions. The company's commitment to proprietary technologies and strategic partnerships, particularly in the realm of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), provides a significant competitive advantage. The study concludes that while challenges such as regulatory hurdles and market competition exist, INFIEN Energy is well-positioned to capitalize on a growing market of customers who prioritize both financial returns and energy independence. The thesis offers practical recommendations for INFIEN Energy’s management, emphasizing a phased expansion and a hybrid go-to-market strategy. It also provides broader implications for the Indonesian renewable energy industry and policy-makers, highlighting the need for a stable regulatory environment and continued investment in grid modernization and skilled labour.
